Not sure if it only picks up the Title. Will know in a second.
- WordPress is too slow for status updates. I need to try a MicroPub solution but I couldn’t get OmniBear or Indigenous to work. I could never participate in Twitter chats and try to syndicate notes from WordPress
- JetPack syndication is really just a link to your post. I can publish to Twitter with Bridgy. I will lean on that and post natively to LinkedIn when needed.
- I don’t like the gravatar image sent with Bridgy.
- I like the LinkedIn option of Bridgy I had with Known.
- Huge thank you to the army of volunteers who make all of this possible.
What did I do:
- Added a plug-in to exclude all uncategorized posts from my post page.
- Copied the post-kind menu from Chris Aldrich’s source code and added a bit of CSS.
- Removed blank thumbnails from post in the Customizer (after trying to write CSS to do it for me for about an hour).
- Not too bad really

Welcome, look well on your way already.

So syndicating post-kinds like notes and bookmarks to LinkedIn doesn’t seem to go as well.
First I don’t want to send my ugly mug with every note about everything I read on the web. Need to figure this out.
Using Jetpack now and may remove the syndication site. Thinking about Jetpack in general. I might remove it entirely. The idea of a shadow site on wordpress.com seems like the opposite goal of owning my data.
There is a custom message box. Will try that.
WestWorld should rename itself to, “The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Seasons” with the theory that bad seasons of confusion can arise after a great first season.
So I am going through and identifying post-kinds and I stumbled across this great gem: https://archive.jgregorymcverry.com/what-you-call-self-plagiarism-i-call-syndication/
We need to wrestle control back from publishers.
